Terms of use
Last updated 24 October 2026. By using TideCurve you accept these terms. They are short because the site is simple: it republishes NOAA's tide predictions and the arithmetic applied to them, with the source on every page.
What the site provides
TideCurve shows tide predictions published by the NOAA Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services (CO-OPS): the times and heights of high and low water at named NOAA stations, in feet above mean lower low water (MLLW), in local clock time. The curve drawn between two NOAA extremes is an interpolation made by this site, and every page that draws it says so. The printable tide chart tool requests predictions from NOAA in your browser and formats what NOAA returns. The methodology page lists every request, retrieval date and assumption.
Information only, not for navigation or safety
Everything on the site is general information. Predictions are astronomical: they do not include wind, air pressure, rainfall or river runoff, so the water on the day can be higher or lower than predicted, and the times can differ. Nothing on TideCurve says that a beach, crossing, mooring, channel or bar is safe, passable or deep enough, and nothing here should be used for navigation or for a decision where being wrong could cause injury or damage. For conditions on the day, use the official NOAA products, the National Weather Service marine forecast and the observed water level at the station. The site does not give individual or professional advice.
Accuracy and changes at the source
Figures are stored exactly as NOAA returned them on the retrieval dates shown on each page. NOAA can revise predictions, station details and datums after those dates; where the site and NOAA's current publication differ, NOAA's publication governs. If you find a figure that does not match NOAA for the station and datum named on the page, please report it through the contact page.
No warranty and limit of liability
The site and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, TideCurve is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the site, its charts, tables, downloads or tools.
Using the content
NOAA's tide predictions are a work of the US government and in the public domain; they can be requested from NOAA directly. You may link to any page on TideCurve and quote short passages with a link back. Republishing the site's own text, charts or page design in bulk needs permission by email.
Other sites and names
Pages link to NOAA and other sources the data came from. TideCurve does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content. TideCurve is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, NOAA or any other organisation named on the site; names are used only to identify where the data came from.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top of the page changes with them.
